On Our Way to Disney World

We headed east today through Mississippi and Alabama and into Northern Florida.  It was a nice drive.  The water was beautiful and Mobile, AL looks like a really nice city....

We pulled into Mariana, FL - the campsite is pretty nice for one night.

You do have to watch out for the slow children though.  ;)

We noticed  a few vendors on the side of the road selling boiled peanuts.  Having never head of boiled peanuts, we purchased a can to try out later - along with the Blue Bell ice cream I keep hearing about.

One more day, one more campground and then we pull into Fort Wilderness.

Welcome to my home state. And if you're headed to the Magic Kingdom, please go to Tomorrowland and on Space Mountain, the Tomorrowland Transit Authority, and the Carousel of Progress. Give them all an affectionate pat for me. I miss them all so dearly.

Will do. The plan is to hit MK next Saturday. :)

How sad is it that you're driving all the way across the country and what I'm most anticipating is seeing and hearing about Disneyworld?!? Can't wait!

Boiled peanuts are best purchased at a gas station, having just been scooped out of a big cauldron, steaming hot, and soaking a paper bag, although a plastic one is neater.
You're going to have to trust me on this one.

Blue Bell cookies and cream: none finer.
